What was the effect of the grant of an EOT after the date of issue of the interim certificate but before the final date for payment?

Was the contractual payment mechanism "adequate"?

Was Tyco liable to Rolls Royce for damage to the project or was the damage covered by the joint names insurance policy provided for by the contract?

Also the difficulties associated with proving that a product is unfit for purpose if that product has a number of different uses?
