Jeremy Glover recognised with global Al Mathews Award for Dispute Board Excellence

Fenwick Elliott partner Jeremy Glover has been awarded the prestigious Al Mathews Award for Dispute Board Excellence by the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (DRBF).

Presented annually since 2001, the Al Mathews Award recognises outstanding individuals who have made exemplary contributions to advancing the use of Dispute Boards as a means of avoiding and resolving disputes on major construction and infrastructure projects.

The award is named for Al Mathews, a pioneer of the Dispute Board process who served on one of the first Dispute Review Boards in the construction industry in the 1970s. The Al Mathews Award is widely regarded as one of the highest honours in the global dispute avoidance and resolution community.

Jeremy received the award at the DRBF’s 2026 International Conference in Rome, which marked the organisation’s 30th anniversary and brought together leading practitioners from across the global construction and infrastructure sectors.

The DRBF praised Jeremy’s “extraordinary leadership and tireless dedication to the advancement of dispute avoidance globally” adding that he has been “a cornerstone of the DRBF’s outreach and educational initiatives, shaping industry standards through his work […] and has been a powerful advocate championing the proactive ‘dispute avoidance’ mindset on an international scale”.

Commenting on the award, Jeremy Glover said:

“It is a tremendous honour to receive the Al Mathews Award. The Dispute Board community has played a central role in my career, not only shaping my approach to dispute avoidance, but also introducing me to a diverse group of people all committed to helping projects run successfully. It has been a privilege to support the DRBF, and I am truly grateful to everyone who has supported and encouraged me over the years.”

Karen Gidwani, Senior Partner, commented:

“Jeremy’s recognition reflects an outstanding personal commitment. His work exemplifies Fenwick Elliott’s determination to support the organisations and initiatives that make a positive impact on the construction industry, and we are incredibly proud of his achievement.”
