  • acting for the employer in ICC arbitration proceedings, with a seat in Paris, in relation to claims arising under an amended FIDIC Pink Book in relation to a hospital in Eastern Europe. Amounts in dispute exceeding €25 million;
  • acting for a main contractor in arbitration proceedings, subject to the DIAC rules, in relation to claims against the employer concerning COVID-19 related delays, prolongation, unpaid variations and extensions of time on a major development project in the Middle East;
  • assisting with an ad hoc domestic arbitration in relation to defective design issues at a student accommodation development. Amounts in dispute exceeding £11 million;
  • acting for a main contractor in TCC proceedings concerning defective groundworks. Amounts in dispute exceeding £50 million;
  • assisting on TCC proceedings concerning defective works and building safety defects to a residential property;
  • assisting a main contractor in respect of a number of building/fire safety defect claims including claims under the Defective Premises Act 1972;
  • advising contractors, consultants and suppliers in relation to various queries relating to the application of the Building Safety Act 2022 and its associated secondary legislation;
  • representing contractors and subcontractors in adjudications ranging in value (and related enforcement proceedings) over various issues including variations, delay, disruption, loss and expense, provisional sums, and the validity of notices; and
  • assisting a high net worth individual in relation to the procurement, drafting and negotiating of professional appointments and collateral warranties for a residential redevelopment.
