Differences in payment provisions & practices between Middle East Civil Codes & English common law
Ahmed Ibrahim, head of our Dubai office, led a discussion with fellow Dubai-based partner, Patrick Stone about the differences in payment provisions and practices between the Middle East Civil Codes and the English common law.
Ahmed and Patrick discussed the relationship between payment provisions in main contracts and subcontracts and, in particular, whether “pay-when-paid” clauses, are valid.
