Partner Victoria Russell was installed as the new Master of the Worshipful Company of Constructors in a ceremony at St Lawrence Jewry, London on 9 October 2014. Victoria is only the third female Master of the Company since its formation in 1976. The installation was followed by a formal dinner marking the first social event of the new Master’s year. Victoria’s role will include representing the Company, which has nearly 300 members, at a wide variety of City and construction industry events.

“I am absolutely delighted to be Master Constructor; it is a huge privilege and I look forward very much to the year ahead,” Victoria commented at the ceremony.

The Worshipful Company of Constructors was founded in 1976 and was granted Livery in 1990. It received its Royal Charter in 2010. The Company exists in order to bring together all the professions involved in the construction industry in all its facets, to support scholarship within construction, to provide its members with good fellowship and networking opportunities, and to support charities related to the construction industry and the City, including substantial research awards. The Company continues to set industry standards; most of the Liverymen are Chartered Members of their respective professional institutes; many are in leading positions within the wider industry.
