CODEP Cup VIII

Winners of the CODEP Cup

Our thanks go out to everyone who came along last Friday 14 November both to play and to support their teams at CODEP Cup VIII.

Yet again, it was another hard fought tournament with every team pushing themselves to the max in a bid to take the trophy home.

Newcomers Child Graddon Lewis were the champions following a closely fought final against Ramboll.

The Construction and Development Partnership (CODEP), is a construction led development charity promoting literacy in Sierra Leone. Donations go a long way to helping children by providing school libraries, classrooms, books and much more. We are hopeful that the money raised from this tournament can help CODEP in the fight against the Ebola virus. The CODEP team in Waterloo has now been asked to take a lead in training people in how they can protect themselves, purchasing and distributing protective materials and providing support for the community health team and relief for those in quarantine. It goes without saying that they urgently need funds to continue with their work and to build a resilience to the evolving situation.
