Triada specialises in the resolution of all construction, engineering and energy disputes, including a variety of adjudication, negotiation, arbitration and pre-action matters. She also has experience in domestic and international infrastructure disputes.

Triada has worked on a variety of types of projects spanning different sectors. She has particular experience in advising both developers and contractors on fire safety related defects and cladding concerns arising from the Building Safety Act 2022.

She also has experience with both domestic and international claims involving energy projects, commercial, residential and mixed-use developments and infrastructure engineering projects such as rail and road. Triada is familiar with most standard form contracts, and regularly acts on bespoke contracts, ancillary project documents and professional appointments.

Examples of Triada's expertise include:

  • acting for a manufacturer in defending high value claims brought under the Building Safety Act 2022;
  • acting for a blue-chip developer both in pursuing and defending claims relating to external wall fire safety defects;
  • acting on a successful high-profile adjudication brought against a contractor for multi-million-pound cladding remediation costs, resulting in a significant enforcement award and legal precedent relating to an adjudicator’s jurisdiction to deal with claims brought under the Defective Premises Act 1972;
  • defending TCC claims in relation to high-profile external wall defects involving breach of contract and negligence under the Defective Premises Act 1972;
  • advising on pre-action claims against a major contractor on a portfolio of developments;
  • acting for a housing association on a defective cladding claim;
  • acting on a wide range of commercial and contractual issues relating to a variety of international and domestic building and engineering projects. This includes issues relating to payment, terminations, defects, extensions of time, insolvency and final account matters;
  • acting for a large civil engineering contractor in relation to a complex infrastructure project under an NEC contract;
  • acting in an international arbitration relating to a high-value civil engineering project in Jamaica;
  • acting on a wide variety of adjudications, including for foreign governments, international and domestic contractors, housing associations and developers; and
  • advising on professional negligence claims.
